Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Analyst to join our team working on a variety of exciting projects with multiple clients. The Test Analyst will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure quality and reliability across our projects. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to identify and resolve issues and ensure that all deliverables meet the established quality standards. The Test Analyst must have a strong technical aptitude, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Execute test cases and document test results, ensuring that all defects are properly tracked, reported, and resolved.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot defects, ensuring their timely resolution.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to ensure quality standards and user expectations are achieved.
- Develop and maintain test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
- Continuously improve and streamline the testing process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations regarding the quality and testability of software.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test environments, test data, and test infrastructure.
- Stay up to date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and trends, and share knowledge with the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of the desired outcomes.
- Provide accurate and timely status updates on test progress, test coverage, and any potential risks or issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices incorporating SIT (System Integration Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Regression scenarios.
- Proficient in test planning, test design, and test execution, with the ability to create comprehensive test cases and scripts.
- Experience with Java script, python, and an understanding of test automation or similar would be advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and the ability to write complex database queries for testing purposes.
- Exposure to various project methodologies for example Agile, Waterfall and Prince2 would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
