MasonBreese is proud to have achieved B Corp accreditation

MasonBreese has today announced it’s B Corp accreditation following 18 months working towards achieving this certification.

The B Corp certification addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

The certification process is rigorous, with applicants required to reach a benchmark score of over 80 while providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.

The team at MasonBreese has been working tirelessly towards the B Corp certification and, whilst there are a community of 7,000 businesses globally who have certified as B Corps, MasonBreese is only the second business in Jersey to attain the accreditation.

B Corp certification is a monumental achievement for any business, however MasonBreese Managing Director Chris Nicol is pragmatic in this regard;

“Attaining B Corp Certification is testament to our citizenship, we are committed to adding tangible, social value to both the communities we work in and within our business – this is the way we operate and how we believe businesses should operate; it’s part of our DNA. The process involved independent auditing by B Lab UK which marked our commitment to this mission against five key areas to succeed in gaining status.  B Corp is not just a certification; it is a different way of doing business and we hope to see more businesses in Jersey follow suit.”

MasonBreese committed to demonstrating that business success goes hand in hand with ethical practices, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Through modelling this behaviour and setting a transparent governance structure the organisation aims to make a positive impact in the community.
